چکیده

Introduction Quantitative myocardial perfusion to assess impaired coronary vasoreactivity has been used to identify subclinical atherosclerosis. Impaired coronary vasodilation has been observed in patients with cardiac risk factors in the MESA cohort. The coronary vasodilator response in patients with angiographically normal coronary arteries/ minimal stenosis is not known. The purpose of this study was to compare the stress myocardial blood flow (MBF) of patients with normal coronaries/minimal stenosis with normal volunteers. Hypothesis Patients with angiographically normal coronaries/minimal stenosis have impaired vasodilator response when compared to normal volunteers.

Regadenoson is a better myocardial vasodilator than dipyridamole in normal volunteers, but the data is less compelling in patients

Methods Forty patients with normal coronaries/minimal stenosis on coronary CT angiography had also undergone vasodilator stress MR (regadenoson n=20, dipyridamole n=20). Seventeen healthy normal volunteers with Framingham score less than 1% underwent vasodilator stress testing with regadenoson and dipyridamole in two separate studies using a SSFP sequence. Stress imaging was done 70 seconds pos...

Initial description of changes in wall motion parameters in normal subjects undergoing rest/regadenoson stress using a tagged MRI sequence

Background Changes in global and regional wall motion between rest and stress are important prognostic markers, uncommonly observed with vasodilator stress radionuclide myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI). Cardiac MRI (CMR) with tagging has the potential to more precisely quantify normal and abnormal ventricular wall motion responses. We herein report CMR findings in 5 very low-likelihood patien...

Regadenoson and adenosine are equivalent vasodilators and are superior than dipyridamole- a study of first pass quantitative perfusion cardiovascular magnetic resonance

BACKGROUND Regadenoson, dipyridamole and adenosine are commonly used vasodilators in myocardial perfusion imaging for the detection of obstructive coronary artery disease. There are few comparative studies of the vasodilator properties of regadenoson, adenosine and dipyridamole in humans. The specific aim of this study was to determine the relative potency of these three vasodilators by quantif...

Optimal timing of rest perfusion with regadenoson stress testing - normal volunteer study of quantitative MRI perfusion

Methods Seventeen healthy normal volunteers with Framingham score less than 1% underwent vasodilator stress testing with regadenoson using a SSFP sequence. Rest imaging (Rest 1) was performed initially. Twenty minutes later, regadenoson 400mcg was administered as a 10 second injection with saline flush. Stress imaging was done 70 seconds after the injection. All volunteers received aminophyllin...

"False-positive" myocardial perfusion scintigraphy findings in patients with angiographically normal coronary arteries: insights from intravascular sonography studies.

UNLABELLED Abnormal exercise perfusion findings have been described as false-positive for coronary artery disease in patients with suspected angina and angiographically normal coronary arteries. METHODS The significance of this finding was further investigated by obtaining intravascular sonograms and Doppler guidewire measurements of at least 2 coronary arteries in 20 consecutive patients who...
